Description

The Royal Crown Jewel of all the Basotho Heritage blankets is the Seanamarena blanket. This blanket dates back to the 1930ā€™s when it was created by the late Mr Charles Hendry Robertson who owned a trading store in Leribe called Seanamarena. The word ā€˜Seanamarenaā€™ means ā€˜to swear by the Chiefsā€™. The Collection features the famous Poone design with its corncob motif. In the Basotho culture, the corncob is a symbol of fertility and wealth. The Chromatic design derives its name from its creatorā€™s initials C.H.R. The Seanamarena blanket is available in a variety of traditional and vibrant colours; it’s a size 155cm x 165cm with a composition of 50% Merino Wool and 50% Dralon Acrylic.
