History
A family name and soon to be the most loved chutney in South Africa, Mrs H.S. Ball’s Chutney™ was created with the Ball family crest on the top of the label. The Woodstock factory opened in 1917 to meet escalating demand, and our most-loved bottle started to travel around the world.
In April 2013, Mrs Ball’s became a wholly owned subsidiary of Tiger Consumer Brands Limited.
Recipes
Roast Lamb Panini
Servings: 4
Chutney
- ¾ cup Mrs Ball’s Chilli Chutney
- 2 tsp fresh mint, finely chopped
- 1 tsp wholegrain mustard
- 2 Tbsp sour cream or cream cheese
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Assemble
- 4 panini rolls or olive ciabatta rolls, cut in half and toasted
- 4-8 slices roast lamb
- ½ cup caramelised red onion (optional)
- cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1½ cup rocket leaves
Preparation
1. For the chutney: Mix all the ingredients together and allow to infuse for 15 minutes. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper.
2. To assemble, place caramelised onion, rocket and lamb inside each fresh bread roll. Top with chutney and feta cheese.
3. Any leftover meat can be used for lunchtime sandwiches or included in your picnic basket.
