The Black Cat Peanut Butter journey
Black Cat is the proudly South African champion of peanut butter! It was first produced way back in 1926 under the name Alderton Limited, in Potgietersrus.
The product proved such a yummy, power-packed wonder food, that Tiger Oats Company knew they had to bring it on board. Thus, the ultimate snack and sandwich buddy, Black Cat, was born! Our peanut butter is made with real peanuts grown right here on home soil.
Our range grew to fit every kind of Peanut Butter Lover! We now have 4 variants in various pack sizes! Each Product is packed with peanut power to fuel kids to hero up and do whatever they set their minds to! We promise delicious peanut goodness of the highest quality, with every satisfying pop of a new jar.
Our milestones
Over the years, Black Cat has held its own in a dynamic market by setting trends, whilst remaining true to our superior peanut-powered flavour. Black Cat has stood the test of time. No matter what the competition, Black Cat has maintained its status as the number one family favourite peanut butter, reiterated again and again by happy eaters.
We know we’re your favourite because you told us so! For consecutive years, Black Cat has been voted SA’s Number 1 spread in the TGI Icon Brand & Kasi Awards. Thanks for all the love, Nutsters!
